Belihuloya is a charming location for hikers and trekkers to start their journey through the verdant green forests and pleasantly swaying paddy fields on their way to the harsh mountains. The expedition turns all the more enjoyable as the adventurers pass across numerous waterfalls and rivulets on the way. Nearby await mysteries to be explored at Horton Plains National Park that offers distinctive landscapes and features like forest patches, grasslands and high altitude shrubbery.  The expedition includes awesome 880 meters drop at World's End and the spectacular Baker's falls.

Mountaineering on the Adam's Peak Wilderness sanctuary, also known as Sri Pada, is fun in particular. The exerting climbing on the mountain is best done during the night so as to reach the top by early morning and relish an unforgettable sunrise from the mountain's peak.
